Is IB in low priority in NDA Government ?

Since Independence, the Intelligence Bureau has been an important organ of the Government. IB people used to get priority in the promotions but it doesn’t seems to be so in the Modi Government. Four 1987 batch IPS officers empanelled to the rank of DG have so far not been promoted for the last three months. In earlier times IB officers used to get promotion soon after their empanelment. People in the corridors wonder how this neglect in the IB despite the former IB Chief A K Doval  being the important functionary in this Government.
