Is PESB’ value reducing ?

Govt is reportedly bypassing PESB in selection of some selective PSU’ Heads. According to sources, the Search & Selection route is being adopted for most Chairman posts. On top of this Chairman, PESB is appointed as Member of this Search cum Selection Committee. It is said that the said committee has the option to select a person who has not even applied.
