Issuers raise Rs 6900 cr on BSE BOND platform as per revised guidelines

BSE, Asia’s oldest exchange and now world’s fastest stock exchange with the speed of 6 microseconds, on 1st July 2016 had launched the platform for Electronic Book Mechanism “BSE BOND” for issuance of debt securities on private placement basis. Till date 5 Issuers have done 7 issues of bonds and have successfully raised Rs. 6,900 crores on BSE BOND platform after the rollout of new SEBI Circular no. SEBI/HO/DDHS/CIR/P/2018/05 issued by SEBI on January 5, 2018 effective from April 1, 2018. Issuers like Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Limited etc have successfully raised funds on the BSE BOND platform as per the revised guidelines. BSE BOND for bond issuances have been a preferred choice for companies to raise Debt Capital in India. In the Financial Year 2017-18, 84 Issuers have done 532 issues of bonds and have successfully raised Rs. 2,08,906 crores using BSE Debt platforms.
