ITD to get power to access social media, other digital spaces during searches !

The Income Tax Department will get legal powers to access emails, social media, and other digital spaces. The provision is part of the new Income Tax law to curb tax evasion and undisclosed income. These powers can be used only during searches and investigations with valid suspicion. The department
