J&K administration creates Department of Public Grievances

The J&K administration has created a new department of Public Grievances.  The department aims at the Redressal of Public Grievances, Lieutenant Governor's Live Public Grievance Hearing, Jammu and Kashmir Integrated Grievance Redress and Monitoring System. The department will also monitor disposal of grievances by Administrative Departments and subordinate offices. The Lieutenant Governor's Grievance Cell shall be subsumed in the Department of Public Grievances and staff provided in the Lieutenant Governor's Grievance Cell by the General Administration Department shall work in the Department of Public Grievances till posting of permanent staff.
