Within just 24 hours of receiving the request from Punjab officials, the Jalgaon Red Cross mobilised locally contributed items and materials from its warehouses to prepare a truckload of essentials. The consignment included food items, clothes, blankets, utensils, mosquito nets, solar torches, and other daily necessities.
With this effort, Jalgaon has become the first district in Maharashtra to extend such support to Punjab’s flood victims across state borders.
