Jharkhand is facing acute crisis of IPS officers

Many states are facing a crisis of IPS officers but Jharkhand is one of the states, facing acute crisis. The lack of IPS officers is denting law and order problems and anti-naxal operations. It is learnt that 12 important posts are running on additional charges. Moreover, 32 posts are vacant in the state. The sanctioned strength of IPS officers is 149 out of which 111 are working. Also, out of these 111 IPS, 22 are on central deputation.
