Jharkhand State Info Commission stops taking cases

The Jharkhand State Information Commission is completely defunct. The Commission has suspended any appeal/ hearing till further orders. According to information, in Jharkhand the post of Chief Info Commissioner and Info Commissioners are lying vacant since long. The last Info Commissioner Himanshu Shekhar Chaudhary retired on May 5, 2020. Since then the Commission has suspended all hearing and appeal related work. Cases are said to be pending in thousands.
