Jitendra Kumar appointed DG, RPF, Railway Board

Jitendra Kumar, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the 1993 batch of the Bihar cadre, has been appointed as Director General (DG), Railway Protection Force (RPF), Railway Board. His tenure will be until his superannuation on March 31, 2030. He will succeed Sonali Mishra, IPS (1993 batch, Madhya Pradesh cadre), whose tenure ends on October 31, 2026. The appointment is subject to the outcome of a case pending before the Delhi High Court.
