JNPT bags ‘Best Global Port in India’ award

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) added yet another feather to its cap, as it was awarded the ‘Best Global Port in India’ at the 6th Atal Shastra Markenomy Award 2020 for the third time in a row. The record is also a quintessence of operational excellence and JNPT's commitment towards operating with an approach that promises efficiency, safety and reliability. Over the decades, JNPT has invested in improving its operating efficiency and handling capacity to enable seamless trade, escalating its growth trajectory. JNPT at Navi Mumbai is the biggest container handling Port in India accounting for around 52% of the total containerized cargo volume, across major ports of India. Sanjay Sethi, IAS, Chairman, JNPT received the Best Global Port in India Award.
