K Natarajan is the new DG, Coast Guard

Krishnaswamy Natarajan has been appointed as 23rd Chief of Indian Coast Guard as Director General. He assumed charge today. Krishnaswamy Natarajan who was Coast Guard Commander, Western Seaboard was top contender for post of Director General (DG), Indian Coast Guard. He was elevated to the Flag rank in 2009. The Flag officer had spearheaded the Staff Division of Policy and Plans at the Coast Guard Headquarters as the Deputy Director General (Policy & Plans) till April 2014.
