Karnataka becomes third state after MP and CG to handover PR department to an IPS officer

After Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Karnataka became the third state to handover the reins of Information and Public Relations Department to an officer of Indian Police Service (IPS). In an order, the Karnataka Government had canceled the study leave granted to Hemant M Nimbalkar, an IPS of 1998 batch and posted him as the Commissioner, Information and Public Relations Department. In Madhya Pradesh, Ashutosh Pratap Singh, an IPS of 2010 batch is posted as the Director, Public Relations Department. In Chhattisgarh, senior IPS officer Dipanshu Kabra is Commissioner, Information and Public Relations Department. He is 1997 batch officer.
