Karnataka Tourism’s monthly themed photography contest

Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka in association with Youth Photographic Society, has conducted themed Monthly Photography Contest. The theme for January 2017 was “Karnataka Wildlife” depicting the diversity of wildlife in the State received 375 entries from 145 participants. Photograph submitted by Dr. Arun SK titled “The Ramp Walk” was selected as the Picture of the Month. Certificate of Merit was also awarded to the following participants. Tusker Dusting by Vinayaka Seetharam, EFIAP, ARPS;  Indian Sloth Bears Night-out by Samad Kottur; Sloth Bear Family by Pompayya Malemath; The King on his walk by Sheshadri Vasan and  Crested Hawk Eagle With Kill by Rahul Kothari. The theme for the month of February 2017 was “Karnataka Beaches”. This theme “Karnataka Beaches” was to bring out the natural beauty of Karavali region consisting of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts along with the life, culture and heritage around them. This theme received 109 entries from 36 participants Photograph submitted by Krishna Bhatt tittled “Apsarakonda2” was selected as the picture of the month. Certificate of Merit was also awarded to the following participants.
