Seniority wise Ms Rina Mitra  is the claimant for the post of CBI Director.1983 batch IPS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre Ms Rina Mitra has served the CBI in several capacities. She is thorough professional with high integrity and presently Special Secretary Home. Earlier also 1980 batch woman IPS officer Archana Ramasundaram  had also been denied the post.
