Kerala: Prior notice to cadre in-charge must for pvt overseas tours

The Kerala Government has ordered that officers of all India Services, IAS, IPS and IFoS, have to provide prior notice to cadre in-charge before any foreign tour. The Kerala Chief Secretary has in an order said that the officials of the All-India Services have  to inform in writing in advance the higher officials, in charge of the cadre about foreign tours even if it is on own expenses. Until now, it was not mandatory to obtain the permission of the cadre in-charge for undertaking foreign trips. Details such as the country being visited and the dates should be furnished to the higher official in advance.
