In Maharashtra, many private medical colleges are reportedly charging about Rs 50 lakh per admission for five years. Kerala govt has reportedly written a letter to the NMC and wants to follow the Maharashtra pattern. The govt has fixed Rs 15 lakh per admission for full course for the Pvt medical colleges. But sources said these colleges are openly charging Rs 30 lakh to 50 lakh. Sources said that this is the reason Indian students go abroad for medicine study because there fee is very less.
