Key positions in 2022 (6) Election Commissioner

The present Government is all praise for the CEC Sushil Chandra for his job in conducting the Elections. Indication is clear that this Government has made up its mind  to appoint a non-IAS as new Election Commissioner in May. The post will fall vacant after the superannuation of IRS officer Sushil Chandra. One source however, said that D S Mishra, present Chief Secrtary of UP,  may be brought back as Member of the Election Commission after elections.
