The Law Ministry is yet to clear the proposal for appointment of Justice Vikram Nath—the senior-most  judge from Allahabad High Court as Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court. The Supreme Court Collegium on its April 8, 2019 resolution had stated:  "Justice Vikram Nath is the senior-most Judge from Allahabad High Court and is functioning in that High Court since his elevation. Having regard to all relevant factors, the Collegium finds Justice Vikram Nath suitable in all respects for being appointed as Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The Collegium resolves to recommend accordingly."
