Lohani breaks 36 yr-old- protocol; no GM to escort CRB, RB Members

Ashwani Lohani, Chairman Railway Board, has issued a historical diktat breaking 36-year-old protocol of Indian Railways, Railway Board that Railway General Managers be personally present on arrival and departure of Chairman Railway Board and other Railway Board Members during visits to Zonal Railways. It is now not mandatory for Railway General Managers to be present during the visit of Chairman and Board Members. The decision aims at ending the VIP culture in Railways and installing a working culture.
