Lt Gen Ranbir Singh to be biggest beneficiary of new promotion policy

Lt General Ranbir Singh of Dogra regiment, who was the Director General (Military Operations) during the surgical strikes conducted against terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) on September 29 last year and  now commanding the 1 Corps, could now be a strong contender for the post of Chief of Staff with formulation of the new promotion policy of Army Headquarters as he would have two years and two months of service left on December 31, 2019 when the new Army Chief would be selected.
