Manipur: IAS Devesh Devalis the Secretary of Commission of Inquiry

The Manipur government has appointed Devesh Deval, an IAS as the Secretary to the Commission of Inquiry, constituted by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. The 3-member Commission of Inquiry is being headed by the former Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court Ajai Lamba. The two other members are former IAS officer Himanshu Shekhar Das and retired IPS officer Aloka Prabhakar. The Commission, stationed in Imphal is probing the recent series of ethnic violence in the state.
