Tenzing Yangki has the credit to become the first IPS officer from the bordering state Arunachal Pradesh. She is among the three Arunachalees who cracked the UPSC examination in 2022. She secured 545th rank and was allotted IPS cadre and thus, she became the first female IPS officer of the state. ‘Her hard work is really commendable’, said Robin Hibu, while talking to the Whispers In The Corridors. Hibu is an IPS officer of AGMUT cadre, 1993 batch and has the credit to become the first IPS officer of the state. Currently, he is posted as Special Commissioner, Delhi Police. ‘she would be state’s third direct IPS on completion of her training after Jimmy Chiram of 2013 batch AGMUT cadre officer’, said Hibu. The father of this lady officer, former minister, late Thupten Tempa, was an officer of Indian Revenue Service and Indian Administrative Service, before plunging into politics.
