MIB takes 11 months to assign additional charge of DG, DD post

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) took 11 months to decide whether or not give an additional charge of DG, Doordarshan. A vacancy of this post arose in June last year after the tenure of Supriya Sahu ended. Since then CEO, Prasar Bharati was holding the charge of the DG, DD. The Ministry decided to give this charge to an officer of equal rank and accordingly send a proposal to DoPT in May this year.
