Mizoram fails to produce an IAS officer for last nine years?

The Mizoram Government is concerned that not a single candidate has been reportedly selected in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC examination) for last nine years. The higher officials of the related departments are joining heads to deliberate on the issue. The Government has taken a few initiatives like sponsoring more UPSC aspirants to attend coaching classes. Among the 7 North East states, 6 candidates from Assam, 4 from Nagaland, 4 from Manipur, 3 from Arunachal Pradesh and 1 each from Tripura, Meghalaya and Sikkim have been selected this year.
