The Ministry of Defence (MoD) advanced procurement under the roadmap, including RFIs for 12 Mine Counter Measure Vessels (MCMVs) worth ₹44,000 crore for the Navy. These will integrate DRDO’s CASCADE autonomous systems for unmanned mine detection, enhancing anti-submarine warfare amid Indo-Pacific tensions. Initial DAC approval was granted in July 2025, with indigenous content mandated at 60%.
