MoD to digitize archival material

MoD will digitise the highly important archival material. The ministry has the press releases from 1941 and issues of 'Sainik Samachar' after Independence. They are kept in packed bundles in the L- Block of the Central Secretariat where the office of Sainik Samachar is presently housed. As Central Vista project work increases, they have been asked to vacate the building. Now the big problem is what to do with this material. According to  a MoD source, "we will not throw away any such material. We will preserve it either in South Block or new premises  before digitisation takes place".
