The Madhya Pradesh State Election Commission has made preliminary preparation for the upcoming Assembly polls to be held by end of this year. The state has 230 Assembly segments of which, 148 are unreserved, 47 are reserved for Schedule Tribes and 35 reserved for Schedule Caste candidates. The state has a total of 2.85 crore male electors and 2.67 crore female electors. The state has 6, 180 centenarians, and 7.12 lakh voters are above 80 years. The first time voters are 18.86 lakh. The number of polling stations is 64, 523 and the number of model polling stations is 15, 000. The term of the Assembly ends on  January 6, 2024.
