Mrs Uma Shankar appointed ED, RBI

Mrs Uma Shankar has been appointed as Executive Director of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). She was earlier serving as Principal Chief General Manager in Department of Currency Management, Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai. She is also a Nominee Director of RBI on the Board of Canara Bank and ex-Nominee Director of RBI on the Boards of UCO Bank and Corporation Bank.  Mrs Shankar is a Graduate of the Columbia Business School Executive Education Programme.
