Ms. Vanaja N. Sarna may be Chairperson, GSTN

The name of Ms. Vanaja N. Sarna, outgoing Chairperson of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), is doing the rounds for appointment as Chairperson, Goods & Services Tax Network (GSTN) after her superannuation this month. This may be the reason why she was not given an extension in service as Chairperson, CBIC unlike her counterpart in CBDT. Currently, Dr. Ajay Bhushan Pandey, CEO, UIDAI is holding additional charge of the post of Chairman, GSTN since September 2017.
