Girish Chandra Murmu, Secretary, Expenditure, under the Ministry of Finance is scheduled to retire in November this year. He is a 1985 batch Gujarat cadre IAS officer. Since the budget preparation exercise of FY starts from Oct 14 this month , now it will be interesting to see whether he gets extension in service till March 2020 or is appointed as Vigilance Commissioner.
