N Franklin Jayakumar Assumes Charge as CMD, NCL UPDATED

Singrauli: N. Franklin Jayakumar has assumed charge as Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited.

A mining professional with over 34 years of experience, Shri Jayakumar was earlier serving as Director (Technical), Operations, at South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL). During his tenure, SECL achieved record coal production, offtake and OB removal, besides advancing mine modernisation and mechanisation.

He has also held several senior operational and technical positions at NLC India Limited and began his career with Singareni Collieries Company Limited. He holds a degree in Mining Engineering from Anna University, along with postgraduate and MBA qualifications.
