New ED - In IRS Nitin Gupta or Pravir Kumar –in IPS G P Singh or --?

In the corridors of power the top contenders for the post of ED in IRS are said to be   Chairman Nitin Gupta and Member CBDT Pravir Kumar. In IPS name of Assam DGP 1991 batch G P Singh has now cropped up.  In case no consensus on the name then Special Director Rahul Navin who is 1993 batch IRS officer may be made acting ED. One Member of the CBIC is also said to be in race. Appointment of new ED is to be made within a week or two.
