New Initiatives of BWSSB

Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), under Chairman Ram Prasath Manohar IAS, announced a collaboration with Swissnex on December 15 to pilot innovative Swiss wastewater treatment technologies at Bengaluru’s Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs). This initiative aims to enhance efficiency and sustainability in urban water management, with potential scaling to other southern cities; it aligns with emerging trends in green infrastructure, projecting a 20-30% reduction in energy use at STPs.
