New uniform numbering scheme for Indian Navy

New uniform numbering scheme for the Indian Navy has come into effect from December 15, 2023. The new uniform numbering scheme will continue to maintain the service ethos, culture and uniqueness peculiar to each service. At the same time, it will enable commonality of uniform across all Services and enable easy promulgation of appropriate uniform in a tri-service/ multi-service environment/ event.
