The newly appointed Chief Secretary of Delhi Rajeev Verma was, although working as the Chief Secretary of Chandigarh earlier, he is a Familiar Face in Delhi's Power Corridors. Just a year-and-a-half after being appointed as the Chief Secretary of Chandigarh, a 1992-batch IAS officer was transferred to Delhi. Verma has held important posts in Delhi and this long tenure, a mix of experience in finance, housing, and urban planning, has given him a deep understanding of the city's administrative challenges.
