NHPC gets ICAI award for Excellence in Financial Reporting

NHPC, India’s premier hydropower company has been awarded as ‘winner’ in the category ‘Silver Shield’ at the prestigious ICAI Awards for Excellence in Financial Reporting for 2019-20.  NHPC has received this award under the category of Public Sector Entities for its Annual Report and Financial Statement for year ended 31st March 2020. R P Goyal, Director (Finance), NHPC received the award from Arjun Ram Meghwal,  Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, Government of India at a glittering function held at Ghaziabad on  January 17, 2021. The award has been conferred upon NHPC after review of its accounting practices while preparing financial statements and the policies adopted for disclosure and presentation of financial statements amongst other information contained in the annual report.
