NLC bags ‘Fasted Growing PSU’ Award among Navratna Companies

NLC India Limited has been adjudged as the fastest growing Public Sector Enterprise (Navratna category) by the Hindustan Times group based on a Study/survey by Price Waterhouse Cooper under the Navratna category. The 2nd Hindustan Ratna PSU awards event was organised by Hindustan Times at New Delhi on 30.05.2018, to honour and recognize the success stories and excellence among Public Sector Enterprises. The award winning PSEs were selected through a stringent process by an eminent jury which has been constituted by the Knowledge Partner of the Publication “ Price Waterhouse Cooper”.  Price waterhouse Coopers is a multinational professional services network headquartered in London, United Kingdom and the second largest professional services firm in the world.  NLC India has emerged as a winner in the category of “Fastest Growing PSU” among Navratna PSUs. NLC India has seen a growth that has almost doubled over the last three years and poised to attain 5 times the present growth by the year 2025 with a plethora of expansion schemes underway. Moreover, from a company that was confined to Lignite Mining activity and Lignite based Power generation within Neyveli, the PSU  has today spread its wings across the Nation with Wind Energy projects, Solar based Power projects, Lignite based Thermal Power Plants, Coal based Power Plants, Lignite Mines and Coal Mines projects.  The award was given away by Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Skill Development, at a glittering awards ceremony held at New Delhi. Dr Sarat Kumar Acharya, Chairman and Managing Director, NLC India Ltd., Rakesh Kumar, Director/Finance and R Vikraman, Director/HR, NLC India Ltd. received the award on behalf of NLC India Ltd.
