NLCIL honours its ex CMD, Directors & retired employees

NLC India Limited  celebrated its 62nd   Raising Day  as Gratitude Day May 22, 2018 amidst the usual pomp and glare with festivity and enthusiasm by recalling historical occasion, May 20, 1957, the day  NLC’s mining operations were commenced by the then Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.  Dr. Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD, NLCIL the President of the function commenced the celebration by hoisting the NLCIL flag in the presence of Shri A.R Ansari, the former CMD of NLC, and Former Functional Directors and present Functional Directors at the lawns of Lignite Hall, Block-11, Neyveli. To mark the occasion NLCIL honoured former CMD, AR Ansari, the chief Guest and the Former Directors, K Sekar, K S Anandan, M S Ravindranath, R N Singh, V Sethuraman, J Mahiselvan, Rajagopal P R Balasubramanian, Dr R,Narasimhan. P, Babu Rao,  J L Mehtha,   R.Kandasamy acknowledging their relentless services for the growth of the organization and 8 oldest retired employees who served organization in early stage with Memento.  All former FD’s extended their felicitations by recalling their various important issues happened during their tenure. Also, Raju, a contract worker whose smiling face finds a place in NLCIL Anthem was honoured by CMD, NLCIL with a cash award of Rs.10,000/-. In his Gratitude Day address,  Dr. Sarat Kumar Acharya, expressing his gratitude to the earlier stalwarts and employees of the company.  Also said that , because of their relentless efforts and contributions, company has accomplished the phase of existence to excellence by passing all challenges with great endurance and performance. Dr Acharya stated that as an organization NLCIL is striving for transformational change with multi fold expansion projects with progressive policy changes and effective implementations in tune with changing market scenario to become strong player in Power Sector of the nation. He indicated that in future NLCIL may install power charging Stations in Highways considering the electric mobility needs of the country.
