NLCIL organises vibrant walkathon to promote anti-corruption awareness

NLC India Limited (NLCIL) organised a vibrant walkathon as part of its ongoing Vigilance Awareness Campaign (VAC), reaffirming its commitment to ethical governance, transparency and social responsibility. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from NLCIL employees, corporate stakeholders, school students and teachers, spreading the message of integrity and a corruption-free society.

The programme commenced at NLC India Hospital, where participants took a solemn Integrity Pledge in three languages. The pledge was administered in the presence of Thiru. Appakannu Govindarajan, IPoS, CVO/NLCIL, Dr. Suresh Chandra Suman, Director (Mines), and Thiru. Samir Swarup, Director (HR), along with other senior executives.

The walkathon passed through the town's main thoroughfares, with participants displaying colourful placards and anti-corruption slogans. A slogan and placard competition was also organised to engage the public and promote awareness about honesty and accountability.

The rally culminated at the Gandhi Statue in Main Bazaar, where NLCIL set up an innovative digital signature wall. Participants digitally recorded their signatures as a pledge to uphold integrity in their personal and professional lives.

Through this initiative, NLCIL highlighted the importance of collective community participation in combating corruption and building a transparent and ethical society.
