No promotion to CSS officers since September 2016

The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has not issued promotion orders of officers of Central Secretariat Service (CSS) to the grade of SO/US/Deputy Secretary/Director in spite of vacancies in various Ministries since September 2016. The Ministry of State for PMO and DoPT, Jitendra Singh had assured the officers of taking appropriate decision in their interest, but no action has been taken so far. There is frustration among CSS officers due to non promotion despite vacancies. Apathy of DoPT is intrigue.
