Non-IAS to receive training along with IAS under Mission Karmyogi

Katikithala Srinivas, the new Director of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, will be the first IAS officer to receive non-IAS officers in mid-career training along with IAS counterparts in October this year, under PM Modi’s ‘Mission Karmayogi’. This is a major departure from the current practice as so far only IAS officers have been receiving training at Mussoorie and it reinforces the government’s plan of developing a common pool of bureaucrat talent that opens up to other all-India cadres apart from IAS.
