Not a single IFS officer empanelled for Additional Secretary post for two years

In spite of having the second most representation among Joint Secretaries after IAS, for the past two selection years 2020 and 2021, not a single IFS officer has been empanelled for holding Additional Secretary rank posts in Government of India. This has been a matter of huge concern among the service officers and they have started wondering how not even a single officer from four eligible batches from 1989 to1992 found fit enough to be considered!
