NTA Restructuring: Four new Joint Secretaries appointed to boost accountability

In a major move to restructure the National Testing Agency (NTA), the government has appointed four new joint secretaries since May 16, including Anshuman Sharma, Anuja Bapat, and Ruchita Vij.

This leadership expansion aligns directly with the October 2024 recommendations of the Radhakrishnan committee. The committee emphasized the urgent need to strengthen the NTA’s permanent manpower to improve transparency and institutional

accountability. Consequently, the government officially sanctioned 16 new

administrative posts.

By shifting from temporary staffing and building a dedicated, permanent workforce, this ongoing overhaul aims to equip the NTA with the robust administrative framework required to smoothly manage its extensive examination responsibilities and restore

long-term public trust.
