NTPC Manager gets RI, fined Rs 1 crore

The Special Judge, CBI cases, Raipur has convicted Jaideep Das, then Manager Finance & Accounts, Korba Super Thermal Power Station, Korba and sentenced him to undergo seven years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs one crore for causing loss to NTPC to the tune of Rs 1,70,61,649 in the matter of false claims of commission charges towards expired/exhausted foreign letter and credits (FLCs) issued by NTPC to foreign suppliers.
