Number of Deptts in UP to be reduced?

On the lines of union govt, UP govt has reportedly decided to reduce the number of departments . It will be done by merging the various departments into one. According to sources presently UP has 94 departments but after integration number will come down to 37. Eight deptts related to Agriculture, Cooperative, Sugar Industries, Cane Development , Food Processing will become Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Department. Water Resource and Irrigation deptt will cover all types of water and Irrigation related units .
