Number of IPS officers to swell up in Jharkhand, will it really help?

The number of IPS officers is going to rise in Jharkhand soon. At present, 124 IPS officers are working in the state and 24 Police officers were promoted from DSP to IPS cadre only recently. In such scenario, the number of IPS officers will swell up to 148. However, 23 are on central deputation and more officers are planning to leave the state. It is learnt that almost half-a-dozen IPS officers are ready for central deputation.
