OBC- PNB merger when PNB’s new MD & CEO needs to be appointed

Till June 6, 2019, no specific proposal was approved by Board of Oriental Bank of Commerce for merger with any other bank. The Government had now announced the bank’s merger with Punjab National Bank (PNB).The Banks Board Bureau has already advertised for post of MD & CEO of PNB while inviting applications till September 23, 2019. The service tenure of MD & CEO of Punjab National Bank (PNB) Sunil Mehta is ending on September 30, 2019 and is unlikely to get extension.
