Odisha DGP selection enters a legal-procedural phase

Supreme Court amicus curiae Raju Ramachandran questioned the empanelment process, including exclusion of senior IPS officer Sushant Kumar Nath and the creation-promotion of officers into DGP-rank posts immediately before the selection process. The Supreme Court deferred the matter to 16 September 2026.
