Only Four officers got new assignment before retirement

Ajay Narayan Jha, Finance Secretary is the third lucky IAS officer in GoI, under NDA govt , who got new assignment before retirement. He was scheduled to retire in January end but he got one month extension in service and after retirement in Feb, he will join as Member , 15th Finance Commission. He is a 1982 batch Manipur cadre IAS officer. Earlier  present CAG Rajiv Mehirishi was the IAS officer who got 2  post retirement jobs before retirement. Secretary Parliamentary Affairs  S N Tripathi is also appointed Director of the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA). He is 1985 batch IAS officer of Odisha cadre. And the fourth IAS officer who is lucky is outgoing Secretary Civil Aviation R N Choubey. He is 1981 batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre.
