Only two empanelment at Additional Secretary level in 50 years

Believe it or not, it is official fact that only two officers of Indian P&T Accounts & Finance Service (IP&TA &FS) have been empanelled for holding Additional Secretary level posts in 50 years. Only two officers were empanelled eight years ago. The officers of this service, which came into existence in 1972, are deprived of lending services at Additional Secretary level in Government of India.
